    Brain Cancer

As per some studies, India reports 40,000-50,000 brain tumour cases every year.

Any portion of the brain or skull can develop a brain tumour, including the brains protective coating, the base of the skull, the brainstem, the sinuses, the nasal cavity, and many other places. The brain can develop any of more than 120 distinct tumour forms. Brain Cancer can diagnosed through a CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Neurological examination or biopsy.

    Frequently asked questions

Not all brain tumors are brain cancer. Brain tumours can be benign (noncancerous) tumors. Nonetheless, they can be dangerous depending on their size or location. All brain cancers are tumours but not all tumours indicate cancer.

    – Excessive headache
    – Blurry vision
    – Speech problems
    – Loss of balance
    – Memory issues
    – Weakness
    – Seizures
    – Confusion
    – Numbness or paralysis of one part of the body

Grade I. Unlikely to spread because of their slow growth. Surgery can frequently cure them.
Grade II. Lower growth and spreading risk but are more likely to return following therapy.
Grade III. Likely to have living cells that are dividing quickly than dead ones. They can expand rapidly.
Grade IV. Cells within a grade IV tumour are actively dividing. These tumours have a rapid growth and spread rate.

The course of treatment for a brain tumour is determined by factors such as its location, size, and grade. If discovered early enough, can be curable, although it frequently returns and cannot always be removed.

Brain cancer can spread to the central nervous system, but they almost never spread to other organs.
